River Cleaning

River Cleaning is a startup founded in 2019 in Bassano del Grappa, Italy.

Their mission is to prevent wastes to reach the seas where it is very difficult to collect them.

It is an innovative and unique system able to stop plastic and wastes in the rivers without interrupting the flow stream, blocking boats transit, or harming the ecosystem. It consists of a series of floating and rotating devices positioned diagonally across the river. Thanks to their rotation and their position, plastic waste are transported to the collection point.

River Cleaning doesn’t require electricity nor other external energy sources: every unit is powered only by the river flow.
